New to Zoom? No problem! Using Zoom to access your session or event couldn’t be easier. You won’t need to set up a Zoom account, there’s nothing to install and you can use Zoom right in your browser. Here’s how…
Start by clicking the email link that you will have received from me in advance.
On your web browser, a pop-up window will prompt you to open or download the Zoom application.
In the pop-up window, click Cancel.
At the bottom of the page, click the Join From your Browser link.
In the pop-up window at the top-left corner of the screen, click Allow to allow Zoom permission for your microphone and camera.
In the Your Name field, enter a display name.
(Optional) Select the Remember my name for future meetings check box.
Click Join.
You will join the meeting as a guest.
Of course, you can always set up an account and download the app if you like and, if you have the app already, you can easily join via that route. When you are presented with open or download the Zoom application in step 2 just click open.
I recommend that you log on around 10 minutes before the official start time to iron out any wrinkles you may come across but remember, if you are struggling, you can always give me a call.
If in doubt, get some help. You can always give me a call if you’re struggling.
If you’re having a hypnosis session via Zoom, please bear the following in mind.
Make sure you have a solid wifi connection and preferably use a wired connection if possible. It may not be possible to continue the session if the wifi keeps dropping out.
If possible use a good pair of headphones, earbuds, or gaming headset for the best experience. Using laptop speakers is fine but won’t feel as immersive. If you can, turn off any noise cancelling for your microphone.
Do find somewhere where you won’t be disturbed or distracted for the length of your session.
A laptop is a better solution that a phone or tablet as it will be more stable and easier to angle the camera at your face.
